Ever since its foundation in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has embodied the brilliance of jewelry savoir-ire. In 2012, the Maison takes an important step with the creation of LCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels. Its aim is to shed light on the very secretive world of jewelry and share its most precious asset - its savoir-ire - revealing the very soul of this exceptional craft.

For Van Cleef & Arpels, an ardent defender of the artistic crafts, passing on, sharing and teaching knowledge is a duty. LCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels is open to all, including an international public. This is not a professional school but a place for everyone to offer a unique path of discovery and learning for those who are passionate about jewelry and wish to become enlightened connoisseurs.
A different teaching approach
The non-technical curriculum of the school encourages the discovery of an art, the development of a discerning eye and the knowledge of materials. Its ambition is to encourage the intellectual and emotional understanding of the essence of jewelry and convey the craftsmans skill through personal experience. LCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels is located on the place Vendôme in an 18th century town house that embodies French Artistic Style.

The Jewelry course is made up of 10 modules, each one lasting 4 hours.
Participants can sign up for one or several modules, according to their special interests, their tastes or level of knowledge. However, fundamental concepts about the world of jewelry (in the fields of art history, gemology or art craftsmanship) are mandatory to enroll for the Entering the Van Cleef & Arpels Universe and Having Access to Van Cleef & Arpels creations modules. To follow these two courses, it is required that participants complete 2 other modules of their choice.
